hi, @Nils Jakobi I am working with the latest openrov software image 31.0.0. and it seems it is not working after I followed through your guide.
I have done some troubleshooting.
1. when directly wire the Ethernet cable from topside board to Laptop, I can launch cockpit and wetty. The assigned IP to my laptop is 192.168.254.14
2. however, when using the Nano router, I am able to ping 192.168.254.1 (the ROV) and 192.168.254.2 (the router) and the assigned IP to my laptop is 192.168.254.100 (which I am able to ping as well).
But I cannot launch cockpit or wetty.
what is the problem here?
hi, i accidentally replaced the 30.1.0 software with 30.0.3 software image when I followed the "software update guide".
Do you know where I can get back the 30.1.0 software image?
hi, why this step is not performed for the battery tube?
figured it out. For v2.8 with Pro Camera HD, there is no need to perform "Update Software Image From SD Card" which will flash the SD card with 30.0.3 software.
Just burn in the latest image from this link and all works fine.
hi, I got confused about the guides between "Update Software Image From SD Card" and "Pro Camera-HD Upgrade".
I am having the OpenROV v2.8 Kit Pro Bundle.
I suppose the SD card comes with the Pro Camera-HD has built-in software image 30.1.0.
Do I need to complete the "Update Software Image From SD Card" guide before this step?
hi, from the above picture, it seems that you are not using the Pro Camera-HD.
and I notice the software you are using is not 30.1.0 . The user interface looks like you are running 30.0.3
May I ask why the "white/gray to SDA" wire come along with the IMU has more strands (thicker) than other wires? It makes the white/gray wire hard to be inserted through the soldering hole. does this white/gray wire carry more current?
If not, could I replace it with normal 20 awg wire?
after the first time flash, only 3 LEDs lit up.
after the second flash, 4 LEDs lit up.
Hi, there may be a typo. It is 0.2 mL mark, not the 2.0 mL mark. Well, of course, it is very clear in the picture though. Nvm.
yes, it is. thanks all the same! :)
