Answer to: Potting Motors instruction needed.The motors should last a good long time "if" you flush them (as well as the entire rov) in clean fresh water. It's good to run the motors in fresh water for several minutes after flying it in any environment. This being said, some folks have gone the "potting" route while others have simply used Rustoleum Crystal Clear Spray Paint (very thin coat) applied over the motor winding and armatures. In either process it is critical that not so much treatment be applies that it prevents the motor bell housing from turning properly. Personally, I'm using the Rustoleum on two of my motors and leaving one as it is in order to determine if treatment actually helps with corrosion abatement.
