Before you replace it, check your wiring to the right side motor. the best way to solder the connections is to put one wire on top of the other then solder them together to ensure a stronger connection instead of doing it tip-to-tip.
check your soldering. Did you solder the wires the wrong way? Red is + and black is —. Also, there’s a + indicator for the positive terminal on the lightboard. feel free to clarify if it’s not the case. o^—^o
check your wiring to the motors. DID YOU MIX UP THE RED WIRES THAT CONNECT TO THE MOTOR WITHTHE SOLID ORANGE WIRE THAT GOES TO THE BATTERY? I recommend checking the colors of your wires as some colors can be pretty close if you are under cool blue led lights or under an incandescent light. Your best bet? A torchlight.
use the acrylic cement applicator bottle, put some water-based personal lubricant like SHIBARI PERSONAL LUBRICANT inside, and wedge the really thin applicator needle that came with your acrylic cement between the endcap and the tube, then squeeze the lube through the needle and into the o-ring area. you should be able to pull it out.
Why do people even trust the salesperson when they say that their brand doesn’t make the product you want, but then suggests you buy “something else with a long name that we all don’t understand“ instead? Because we all know, If you buy that, there’s an ~ 72% chance it’s not going to work.
You’re better off looking up 2-ton epoxy online and buying it online/from a hardware store near you.
I just used a snapped steel string from my grand piano to poke a hole through the epoxy that got in the hole, then used the tiniest sewing needle i could find around the house to dig it out.
I don’t know if it’s because I screwed up somewhere or if I glued the things on wrong, but the whole endcap and the electronics that go in the acrylic tube are not lining up when I plug in the DB-25 connector. Please advise.
Be careful not to mix up the red and orange wires.
To be safe, work in a well-lit area with WHITE LED LIGHTS or fluorescent lights, or just pick out the wires under the sun when it is really bright outside (late morning/noon/early afternoon).
I made the mistake of wiring one of the solid orange wires to the motor instead of the red one, so please try your best to keep any of the excess wire that you had cut off in the previous steps just in case you run into situations like mine.
My electronics panel and the endcap are not lining up when I plug it in. HELP!!!
I double checked the instructions and it seems I followed them all
