Step 1 — Working with Homeplug Adapters ¶
This guide is based on the blog post here.Follow along and make sure you have the right Tenda homeplug and everything is setup right!
Identify your Tenda Homeplug adapter as the old type (used with 2.5B OpenROV control board) or the new type (used with 2.6 OpenROV control board).
When you have them out of the box you will see that the reset button has moved on the new config as well. The Box alone is NOT a 100% indicator. (They are shipping old adapters in the new box now) The Reset button is the key piece.
Step 2 ¶
Identify your control board version that you are going to be using with the homeplug.
The 2.5 control board is only compatible with the old homeplug.
The 2.6 control board is compatible with the new tenda homeplug by default, but with a modification it is compatible with the new homeplug.
Step 3 ¶
Modify a 2.6 control boar to use an old homeplug adapter as follows.
