  1. Once you have set up your OpenROV and opened up the 'Cockpit' make sure to expand your screen to be as large as it can while still being able to access your application dock at the bottom.

  2. Open up Quicktime Player from your applications or download the Quicktime Player application from online if you do not have it already on your laptop.

  3. Write click on quick time and click 'New Screen Recording'

  4. A small rectangular box should then appear on your screen and you should click the red button in the middle of the black box to continue on to the next step before recording.

  5. A white box with following instructions should appear in the middle of your screen. Follow the directions given in the white box and once you click the screen or select part of your screen by draging your cursor across the screen your recording will begin.

  6. To stop recording, right click on the quick time application in your dock again and select 'Stop Screen Recording'.

  7. As soon as you stop recording, you can save your video by clicking the red 'x' in the corner of your video window and selecting 'Save' when prompted with a box that asks you, "Do you want to save the changes made to the document 'Unititled?'. You can click 'File' in the top right hand corner of your screen  and select 'Save' to save your video.   8. To take a screen or picture press 'Command - Shift - 4'  on your keyboard and drag your cursor over the part of the screen you would like to take a screen shot of and screen shot the OpenROV  cockpit screen.
