How to Add-On External Sensor Packages (Depth)?
Lets say we've build the rov 2.5. Then we purchased the sensor package for the depth and nav. What is the best way to get the wires out to the sensor which is in the water?
1. drill a hole through the plastic and pot ?
- will likely cause alot of stress in the plastic (weaken structure micro stress fractures?)
2. Create a whole new end cap
- even with BOM how do we get it sent out to be laser cut who would do that?
Keep in mind that we want to be very confident about that endcap not breaking.
Answer to self: there are 6 aux. wires in standard build two reserved for I2C and 4 for the new PMU sensor unit. Thus there are no additional aux. wires for user tinkering, I've added additional wires out to allow tinkering and sensors down the line. There are 24 Dig and 7 Analog pins slated for user use.
